At It Again
Had a dyeing day last Monday. Did about 20 yards of fabric and a dozen socks (to use up the extra dye!) Here's how I normally do things...In all sorts of plastic lids (like sheet cake lids)...
.
My son Max had just come home from a camping trip and had trash bags all over the deck from his gear. So I thought...Why not dye the fabric in a trash bag? Here is a piece of Kona Bleached PFD and a piece of Roc-lon Nature's Dyeable Unbleached.
.
Then I squirted strong dye solution all over the place.
.
Rolled it up like a jelly roll and squeezed the tube.
.
Let it sit overnight because I was too tired to deal with it. And voila! I got some really nice patterns. And the process seemed to use less dye.
.
This dyeing business takes constant experimentation!
