Homeless Fabric Finds Loving Home

My mother-in-law and sister-in-law were visiting from Missouri and Texas respectively. We did all of the tourist things and shopped till we dropped. Look at what I came home with! The Bird In Hand Country Store in the village of Bird In Hand was having a sale. I'm working on my charity quilt for our guild and will post my progress soon!!!

Wha Happund?????

All of my type got "downsized". It was fine yesterday. Then you needed a magnifying glass to read it!!!! And I didn't touch the html...I really didn't. So I changed my template, thinking that would solve the problem, but in the process lost the code for the Artful Quilters webring. Ugh.

The Opening

.
Last evening was the opening for the Purple Martin House Project. My offering, "Homecoming", will be displayed in the lobby of the Lancaster Quilt and Textile Museum. Here I am with some visitors at last nite's event (I'm in the blue jacket w/glasses). Silent bids are being taken in person and over the web (see www.lancasterheritage.com for more info).
It was such an honor to be part of the project and see the wonderful work of many artists. They also had a very lovely reception! All of the proceeds go to help support the museum. The next big event is the live auction to be held September 24, 2005.

Next project.....I have 5 quilts to appraise and photograph. Getting to look at other people's quilts is the best job in the world!
