The Opening

.
Last evening was the opening for the Purple Martin House Project. My offering, "Homecoming", will be displayed in the lobby of the Lancaster Quilt and Textile Museum. Here I am with some visitors at last nite's event (I'm in the blue jacket w/glasses). Silent bids are being taken in person and over the web (see www.lancasterheritage.com for more info).
It was such an honor to be part of the project and see the wonderful work of many artists. They also had a very lovely reception! All of the proceeds go to help support the museum. The next big event is the live auction to be held September 24, 2005.

Next project.....I have 5 quilts to appraise and photograph. Getting to look at other people's quilts is the best job in the world!

Jo, how wonderful! I enjoyed visiting the museum site. Your job is quilt appraisal? How cool is that! Jen

It looks great! The artful quilters are all proud of you! Hope you make a bundle for the museum.

Congratulations! It is so nice seeing it installed at the museum.
